Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
