▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
