Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
