Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
