The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 The closing night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
