The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
