3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
