Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
