We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
