The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
