The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
