Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
