The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
