3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
