Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
