We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
