He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
