Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 on a straight path, 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence). 12
