Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 "Go to what you used to deny; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 And those that revive by quickening, 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
