۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
