Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, 1 And removed from you your burden, 2 Which had left you devoid of hope, 3 And We have exalted your remembrance for you. 4 Surely with difficulty is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 and to your Lord turn [all] your attention. 8
