Surely the fruit of the Zaqqum tree 43 is the food of the guilty, 44 Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies 45 Like the boiling of hot water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is certainly what you had denied." 50 As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security, 51 among gardens and springs, 52 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another. 53 As such, We shall wed them to wide eyed houris (the virgins of Paradise). 54 They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. 55 There they will not know any death apart from the first death they had died, and will be kept safe from the torment of Hell 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 We have made the Quran easy for you to recite so that perhaps they may take heed. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
