Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
