Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord. 1 It is He Who has created you from clay, and then decreed a term for you; and it is a fixed promise before Him, yet you still doubt! 2 He is Allah in the heavens and the earth; He knoweth your secret and your publishment, and He knoweth that which ye earn. 3 Not a sign of their Lord comes to them, but they turn away from it. 4 They cried lies to the truth when it came to them, but there shall come to them news of that they were mocking. 5 Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others. 6 (O Messenger!) Had We sent down to you a book incribed on parchment, and had they even touched it with their own hands, the unbelievers would still have said: 'This is nothing but plain magic.' 7 They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them. 8 And had We made him an angel, yet assuredly We would have made him a man, and confused for them the thing which they themselves are confusing. 9 And indeed, [even] before thy time have apostles been derided - but those who scoffed at them were [in the end] overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride. 10
