111 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hood (Hood) before The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book. 1 Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. 2 We! We recount unto thee the best of stories, by revealing unto thee this Qur'an, although thou wast before that of the unaware ones. 3 When Joseph told his father: "O my father, I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon bowing before me in homage," 4 He (the father) said: "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers, lest they arrange a plot against you. Verily! Shaitan (Satan) is to man an open enemy! 5 “And this is how your Lord will choose you and teach you how to interpret events, and will perfect His favours upon you and upon the family of Yaqub, the way He perfected it upon both your forefathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; indeed your Lord is All Knowing, Wise.” 6
