The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

ALIF LAM MIM. 1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people, 2 Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, 3 And who believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon thee, [O Prophet,] as well as in that which was bestowed before thy time: for it is they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 These are guided by their Lord; these surely are the prosperous. 5 As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them. 7
