He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 For him who does not care, 5 to a rich man, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 And hath fear, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 noble, pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
