And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 So the angels fell prostrate, all of them together 30 except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44
