And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 The Lord said: "Then get out of here; you are rejected, 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 till the appointed time. 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44
