And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
