And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 'No' they replied: 'We bring you (news) of that concerning which they were doubting. 63 And we have brought unto thee the truth, and verily we say sooth. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said: Surely these are my guests, therefore do not disgrace me, 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 [Lot] said: "[Take instead] these daughters of mine, if you must do [whatever you intend to do]!" 71 By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement. 72 An explosion struck them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
