Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 cushions ranged, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And the earth - how it has been spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah. 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 But whoever will turn away (from the Truth), 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
