And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
