And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
