And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
