The people of al-Hijr also rejected Our messengers: 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 about what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
