The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GOD'S JUDGMENT is [bound to] come: do not, therefore, call for its speedy advent! Limitless is He in His glory and sublimely exalted above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 1 He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases (saying): "Warn mankind that La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds). 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him. 3 He created man from a drop of fluid, yet he is an open quarreller! 4 And the grazing livestock He has created for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat. 5 and you find beauty in them when you drive them home in the evenings and when you take them out to pasture in the mornings. 6 They carry your loads to a land which you could not otherwise reach except by painful toil to oneself. Your Lord is the Clement, the Most Merciful. 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
