It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 And with it He grows for you corn, and the olive and the date-palm and the grape, and all kinds of fruits. Surely, in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And all the [beauty of] many hues - which He has created for you on earth: in this, behold, there is a message for people who [are willing to] take it to heart! 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 And landmarks (signposts, etc. during the day) and by the stars (during the night), they (mankind) guide themselves. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 19 And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, 20 They are dead, not living; and they do not know when they will be raised (to life). 21
