And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 We know best who deserve to be burnt in (the Fire). 70 And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. (Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell on a thin bridge.) 71 We shall then rescue the pious and leave the unjust in it, fallen on their knees. 72 When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?" 73 How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them! 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. 80 They have taken other gods instead of Allah that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
