Beholdest thou not that We have sent the satans upon the infidels inciting them by an incitement? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (things) against them, for We count out to them a number, 84 On the day that We shall muster the godfearing to the All-merciful with pomp 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 No one will have power to intercede, except for those who have permission from the Lord of Mercy. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! 89 This would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments, 90 That men should ascribe a son to the Most Gracious, 91 although it is inconceivable that the Most Gracious should take unto Himself a son! 92 All that is in the heavens and the earth will return to the Beneficent God as His submissive servants. 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 Therefore, We have revealed the Qur'an in your tongue and made it easy to understand that you may give glad tidings to the God-fearing and warn a contentious people. 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
