T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
