T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
