T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
