T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
