Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease for me my task 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 "And remember You much, 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
