And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
