He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
