[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and let him share my task 32 so that we exalt You 33 And remember You much. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
