AND THEY WILL ask thee about [what will happen to] the mountains [when this world comes to an end]. Say, then: "My Sustainer will scatter them far and wide, 105 and leave them so smoothly levelled 106 “In which you shall neither see ups nor downs.” 107 On that Day all will follow the summoning voice from which there is no escape; and all voices will be hushed before the Lord of Mercy, and nothing will be heard except a subdued murmur. 108 Upon that day the intercession will not profit, save for him to whom the All-merciful gives leave, and whose speech He approves. 109 He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it with their knowledge. 110 ۞ And [all] faces will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. And he will have failed who carries injustice. 111 but whosoever does righteous works, being a believer, shall have no fear of suffering wrong or loss." 112 And thus We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an and have diversified therein the warnings that perhaps they will avoid [sin] or it would cause them remembrance. 113 [Know,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth and [knowing this,] do not approach the Qur'an in haste, ere it has been revealed unto thee in full, but [always] say: "O my Sustainer, cause me to grow in knowledge! 114 We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve. 115
