And Nuh! recall what time he cried aforetime; so we answered him and delivered him and his household from a calamity mighty. 76 and We helped him against a people who rejected Our signs as false. They were indeed an evil people and so We drowned them all. 77 And David and Solomon -- when they gave judgment concerning the tillage, when the sheep of the people strayed there, and We bore witness to their judgment; 78 And We made Sulaiman (Solomon) to understand (the case), and to each of them We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains and the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawud (David), And it was We Who were the doers (of all these things). 79 We taught him the art of making coats of mail for you, to protect you in battle. Will you then give thanks? 80 And We subjected the fast wind for Sulaiman, which moved by his command towards the land in which We have placed blessings; and We know everything. 81 and of the Satans some dived for him and did other work besides; and We were watching over them. 82 ۞ AND [remember] Job, when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Affliction has befallen me: but Thou art the most merciful of the merciful!" 83 So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them, as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us. 84 And (remember) Isma'il, Idris, and Zul-kifl, all (men) of constancy and patience; 85 And We brought them in unto Our mercy. Lo! they are among the righteous. 86 And (remember) Dhu'n-Noon (Jonah of the fish), when he went away in anger and imagined We will not test him (with distress). Then he called out from the darkness: "There is no god other than You. All glory to You; surely I was a sinner. 87 Thereupon We accepted his prayer, and rescued him from grief. Thus do We rescue the believers. 88 Remember Zachariah, when he called out to his Lord, "Do not leave me heirless Lord, You are the best of heirs." 89 So We answered him, and bestowed on him John, and We set his wife right for him; truly they vied with one another, hastening to good works, and called upon Us out of yearning and awe; and they were humble to Us. 90 And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations. 91 Verily this community of yours is a single community, and I am your Lord; so worship Me. 92 But they (the Christians and Jews) split their affair between them all shall return to Us. 93
